A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a few features, but it is surprisingly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of clicks of the mouse if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses using any domain hosted here. To activate the catch-all feature for a given mailbox, you will need to click on the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Deactivating this option can be done in the very same way and will not require more than a click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a particular domain name, you will receive a warning alert. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or change anything automatically.
